[Your County] Solid Waste Services

Keeping Our County Clean and Healthy

The mission of [Your County] Solid Waste is to collect, recycle, and manage solid waste for [Your County] County residents and businesses. We desire to operate safely and environmentally friendly while being cost-effective. We invite community members to deposit their solid waste at one of our convenience centers or at our main facility or use a collection service to haul their waste to us. Questions About Paying Solid Waste Fees.

The user fee was established in the mid-1900s to offset the cost of operating the convenience center and the processing of residential waste and closure costs of the landfill. The user fee is allowed by TCA 68-211-835 and authorized by the  County Commissions. By law, landfills must be maintained and monitored for 30 years after closing.

Solid Waste Services

Our waste management service is an expensive operation that must meet many strict regulations for environmental safety, but we operate on a shoestring budget. In the past, we've covered many of our costs via our recycling program. We offer four main types of waste management: Typical household garbage, construction materials, appliances/electronics disposal, and hazardous waste disposal. You can dispose of household garbage at our main facility or one of our convenience centers. We maintain our construction material landfill at our facility; we weigh your load and charge by weight. You can drop off appliances and electronic gear at our facility. We offer special times when we accept hazardous materials like paints, ammunition, car batteries, waste oils, paints, and other chemicals.

Classes of Service

All county residents are charged an annual fee, which can be paid in full or by the month. We encourage people to make online payments or to set up automatic payments through their financial institutions.
