Legislative Body: County Commissioners
The policy-making body is the legislative body whose members are called commissioners. There are 14 Commissioners in 7 districts--two Commissioners from each district.
Loyd Logan is the parliamentarian for the legislative body.

Elected Officials
These positions are filled with people elected from our general population. Their positions are defined by state law. Most are elected to four-year terms; judicial positions may have longer terms and have multi-county responsibilities.
The County Clerk issues most licenses and permits and serves as the secretary for the County Commission.

The Trustee collects county taxes.
Jerry SpenderCounty Trustee
The Recorder manages all official documents that require recording such as deeds and wills.
Mandy KeeperTax Collector
The Highway Superintendent builds, maintains, and oversees all road and bridge construction activities.
Joe DozerHighway Superintendent
The property assessor performs property assessments enabling the collection of property taxes. The Assessor also maintains GIS maps of all properties.
Jose CiscoProperty Assessor
The Sheriff is the chief law enforcement for the county.
